What is the common proverb "a healthy mind in a healthy body" is the biggest proof of the importance of a person's attention to his health, by adopting a suitable diet for his body that provides him with all the nutritional minerals he needs, which will prevent him from developing chronic diseases, such as diabetes.

With this in mind, Nestlé Middle East Nutritionist Jumana Dabbagh offers a set of simple tips for enjoying a healthy lifestyle:

1- Eat moderate amounts of sugar and salt to protect heart health.

2- Cooking in a healthy way by grilling, for example, using special bags in the oven, which allow you to control the amount of oil.

3- Eat a portion of boiled vegetables using steam, which preserves their nutrients.

4- If canned products are eaten, they should be washed to reduce the salt content.

5- Make sure to eat low-fat dairy products to reduce the amount of fat.

6- Replacing soft drinks with natural juices that provide the body with the breakage it needs.

7- Eat white meat products such as chicken and fish.

8- Include whole grains in the diet, as they contain high amounts of antioxidants and vitamins that boost the immune system.

9- Eat legumes, as they are an ideal source of vitamin B6 and iron.

10- Adding spices and natural herbs rich in antioxidants such as cumin, cinnamon, turmeric, basil, thyme and others to improve the flavor of the dishes.

11- Use healthy oils such as olive oil, canola oil, corn oil and sunflower oil, as they are rich in natural antioxidants.

12- Make sure to drink an adequate amount of water, that is, at least 8 cups per day.

13- The necessity to ensure the nutritional information contained in the products when purchasing them.
